Bandits are one of the more common foes encountered throughout the open world of Skyrim. Often seen in groups, they can be hostile towards players if approached. Some common areas to find these bands of enemies are near forts and caves. Recently, one player discovered that no enemy in Skyrim is to be taken lightly, not even Bandits.

Taking to Reddit, a user known as Mother-Literature121 shared a clip from their time playing Skyrim. In the video, the player was engaged in combat against a Bandit in a dark passage. In an attempt to gain an upper hand in the skirmish, the player used what appeared to be some sort of lightning spell on the enemy. However, this attack proved ineffective against the Bandit, seemingly only serving to make them angrier. What happened next caught the player off guard, to say the least.
Enraged, the Bandit yelled and charged toward Mother-Literature121. Before the player had a chance to react, the enemy was upon them, delivering blow after powerful blow. With each rapid attack from the Bandit, the player lost more health. Unable to break free of the chain of attacks, they soon were met with an untimely death at the hands of the enemy. “I never should’ve come here…” Mother-Literature121 said after the ill-fated encounter.
Since Mother-Literature121 posted this unusual clip on Reddit, numerous members of the Skyrim community have commented on the aggressive Bandit. With over 4,000 upvotes in only a day, many were just as surprised by the battle as Mother-Literature121. “What in the name of Oblivion is that?” Clear_Access3349 said on Reddit. In addition, some fans commented on the attack strategy of the incredibly aggressive Bandit. “Shield bash spamming… the most intelligent bandit out there,” one gamer noted.
It is impressive to still see players posting new and exciting clips from the game even many years after the game launched. While numerous fans are likely wanting to hear news about The Elder Scrolls 6, it seems as though the open world of Skyrim should continue to keep most of them busy in the meantime. For example, another gamer discovered that they could shoot a player into a pot using a spell in Skyrim. Time will tell what secrets are uncovered next in the world of Tamriel.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
