Besides looking appetizing, food in Skyrim fulfills a number of purposes for players. For example, the many types of food found in the game are consumable items that can be used to impact the stats of a player. Some of the categories affected include Health, Stamina, and Magic. Recently, one player decided to see what some of these delicacies might look like in real life.

A Reddit user shared an image of a meal they had prepared. However, this was more than an appetizing dinner as it contained several items seen in the world of Skyrim. The amount of food found in the picture was impressive, featuring baked potatoes, grilled leeks, beef, salmon, and mead. On top of this, they even had the famous sweet rolls seen in the series for the dessert. Adding to the theme, they placed the food on a wooden table.
Beyond showing off the dinner on Reddit, they provided a little background on the project. According to the Reddit user, they prepared almost all of the food themselves by using the Skyrim cookbook. In fact, the only part of the meal they did not make was the mead, which they revealed was from the Honeytree Meadery. In addition, they suggested that other fans of the Elder Scrolls series should consider giving the recipes a try. “It was a ton of fun! And delicious,” they said.
This Elder Scrolls-inspired dinner caught the attention of numerous members of the Skyrim community on Reddit. With over 6.9K upvotes in only a couple of days, many were impressed with the real-world recreation of the meal from Skyrim. Some fans, such as dshab92, liked the look of the dishes so much that they believed it was one of the best food posts ever seen on the subreddit. Among the different food items, a fan favorite was the sweet rolls. In addition, the meal inspired some gamers to want to try the recipes for themselves. “I’m sure it’s really simple, but I want the recipes!” Emotional-Brilliant4 commented.
While this delicious-looking meal was obviously impressive, it was not the only attempt to make food from Skyrim. Previously, another fan had made stunning sweet rolls from the game, complete with a handcrafted letter about the recipe. As time goes on, it will be interesting to see if gamers decide to make even more dishes from Skyrim in real life.
