As spotted by PC Gamer, modder dactyl has created an interactive map of Skyrim that gives a visual representation of all the game’s mods, specifically for the Special Edition. The topographical image is divided into squares, with color coding to show just how many add-ons are related to that area, going from green to red, with red being the most mods in that section. Clicking on a square will pull up a list of all the mods related to it, with some segments listing over 400 different ones.

It’s a wholly impressive creation, and it really goes to show just how many custom add-ons the Special Edition has had over the years. Given that Skyrim already has plenty of interesting mods, being able to see them in one interactive space really highlights just how busy the modding community has been all this time. The creator has said that modders are already using the map to show conflicts or even to locate areas which seem to be lacking mods. Even a quick glance shows that the majority of the game has had some custom content created for it, even parts of the water that surround the map.

Given how long the game has been out, it’s hardly surprising that Skyrim is one of the highest selling games of the last decade, with the last count showing it had sold more than 30 million copies. Much of its longevity can be attributed to the ruck of talented and dedicated modders that go to great lengths to improve on the vanilla format, which also includes fixing some of the glitches the developer itself has overlooked.

Although Bethesda is hard at working finishing off and promoting Starfield, talk of The Elder Scrolls 6 is pretty rampant. It has been more than ten years since Skyrim came out, so naturally many fans are starting to get a little impatient. Hopefully, the studio will give more word on the whereabouts of the next installment in the long-running series soon.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is available now for available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
