Some of gaming’s most interesting characters inhabit Skyrim. Coupled with the powerful story and the unique setting, it should come as no surprise that The Elder Scrolls 5 has stayed relevant after so many years. Indeed, fans love Skyrim so much that they have decided to pursue tedious challenges, like the player who chose to gather every dragon priest mask without fast traveling.

Reddit user Morlino recently posted a video to the Skyrim subreddit that shows all the dragon priest masks in their character’s possession. The title of the video makes a shocking claim, stating that Morlino acquired the dragon priest masks over the course of 92 hours without using fast travel. This meant traveling to Solstheim in Skyrim and roaming the main map endlessly to complete their objective. There are nine masks to be used in the main game, though Skyrim technically includes fourteen.
The dragon priest masks are very valuable in The Elder Scrolls V, granting players useful powers that can make defeating difficult foes much easier. Among the most useful dragon priest masks are Konahrik, which can give players health boosts and summon a priest ally, and Miraak, which grants magic to gamers that can be very beneficial for mages. The dragon priest masks in Skyrim, in fact, are some of the most powerful items that players can acquire. Finding them is no small feat, however. In order to find Konahrik, for example, fans must first find every other mask. These complex tasks prove how difficult Morlino’s challenge truly was.
Indeed, the video posted to Reddit is hardly the first of its kind. Players have been forging their own goals and challenges in The Elder Scrolls 5 for years. And, though it might seem unnecessary, the impractical aspects of Skyrim and its players are both parts of why the game is still popular after so many years. The ability to create adventure, in fact, is nothing short of magical.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
