Draugr are one of the most common types of enemies found in the game’s many dungeons, catacombs, and ruins. They are skeleton-like creatures that wield different types of weapons depending upon their class or variant. Players will also come across higher-leveled enemies and mini-bosses of this type that can use dragon shouts. Now, one Skyrim fan recently got stuck in an awkward spot during a fight against a Draugr.

A Reddit user named The-1-Percent-Milk has shared a clip of their encounter with a Draugr Deathlord in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. They appear to be winning the fight, but the Draugr Deathlord uses a shout to help turn the tide of battle. The-1-Percent-Milk is sent flying and they land in an area from which they cannot escape. The player tries to get out to no avail and pauses the game to presumably reload a previous save.
Other Skyrim fans seem to relate to the disappointing and unfortunate circumstance, and some point to how The-1-Percent-Milk cannot use fast travel as an enemy is nearby. One player recommends conjuring familiars or using shouts to kill all nearby enemies, but the situation appears to be even worse than they had imagined. As it turns out, The-1-Percent-Milk is in Skuldafn, a location players visit during the main quest of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, and fast travel is not possible from this area. So, The-1-Percent-Milk had no option but to reload a previous save.
Many users recommend that Skyrim players should save their game regularly, as they can get stuck in similar situations without any fault of their own. It looks like The-1-Percent-Milk can get out of this place by using console commands, but they are only available on the PC version of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. One user also tries to imagine how it would feel if this happened to someone playing with permadeath enabled. In the end, it looks like The-1-Percent-Milk was not able to salvage the situation due to the Draugr Deathlord knocking them into an inescapable area.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim - Anniversary Edition is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
