In a recent video uploaded to the game’s subreddit, user walter-fring has decided that they’ve had enough of one Nazeem. The clip shows the snobbish character outside Skyrim’s Breezehome in Whiterun before he enters with the player. Once inside and away from prying eyes, walter-fring begins to nudge Nazeem about the place. It ends with him being pushed into a room where a child is sparring with a dummy. It’s a particularly skillful swing of the sword, not intended to do damage to any living creature it seems, that delivers the killing blow to the much-hated NPC, where he falls down dead.

It’s not uncommon for Skyrim players to exact their revenge upon the troublesome character. There have been numerous examples of the Dragonborn using sheer brute strength to end the life of Nazeem, often in violent manners. For fans, he’s generally considered one of the most despised NPCs, perhaps in any Elder Scrolls title.

For those who are not familiar with the game, Nazeem in Skyrim is particularly hated because of his snooty attitude towards the player. More often than not, when walking around the city of Whiterun, which is one of the early locations that players will come across, he will be seen wandering the streets, stopping to look at the Dragonborn and asking, “Do you get to the Cloud District often?” He then scoffs, “Oh, what am I saying? Of course you don’t.” This has led many to become irate at the way he speaks to the player, and it often ends with his death.

Speaking of frustrations, with Bethesda delaying Starfield and also Redfall, many believe that the release of The Elder Scrolls 6 is going to be even further away. It’s been more than ten years since Skyrim was released, and as beloved as it may be, some can’t help but wonder why the developer has still not given any information about what’s happening with the next entry in the long-running RPG series.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
