Yes, we will be hosting a tournament for the university with a cash prize for the winners as to encourage the student community to embrace the next big global market. Even though, India is going through a transition in witnessing esports bloom one year and fall the next year, we are confident that the student community will help the market grow exponentially.

We understand the pitfalls of hosting a game like PUGBm with violence and a possible addiction towards gaming 24x7 leading to mental and physical stress. We strongly advice against playing any sport for that matter, continuously without rest. There should be enough breaks between gaming sessions and if you are a student, we advise you to be aware of your priorities. Virtual violence does not result in kids becoming violent and we have enough researches being conducted day in and day out to prove the same.

We at skytou studios request the parents to encourage their kids to follow their passion. If esports is part of their passion growing up, do not cut the wings but let it grow and if possible nurture it and let them spread their wings. Under controlled environment with proper guidance, our students can become the next big esports athlete. India won a bronze medal in the 2018 Asian games under esports category! So, esports is not something to be afraid of. World around us are celebrating esports and heading towards an inclusive, professional society for the esports athletes. Let us build a society for our kids in India, too.

Finally, shout out to all those who have registered for the SASTRA PUBGm tournament, which has crossed a grand total of 170 plus squads so far. Keep registering! Play hard, play fair is a saying in esports. Do that and claim glory. Good Luck and Have fun!
